Thaimaçu, Pará, Brazil April 2003 This is a male White-nosed Bearded Saki Monkey. The photos don't quite show the white surrounding the bright red face. Another identification feature is the red genitalia. It has a very bushy, long black tail and a heavy, bushy beard. |

It is found south of the Amazon and between the rivers Madeira and Xingu.
They eat fruit and seeds. There is an illustration in Eisenberg & Redford, Plate 9. |
